Multi Element Gas Container (MEGC)

EKC Dubai is engaged in high pressure cylinder manufacturing, adopting excellence in everything we do. We are specialized in Multi Element Gas Container (MEGC) with our in-house produced cylinder manufacturing, procurement, fabrication, blasting/painting, assembling, commissioning & maintenance activities. In line with recent developed countries institutional & UN regulations / guidelines according to ADR/RID/IMDG, EKC has developed 20ft & 40ft Multi Element Gas Containers (MEGC) units with type 1 and Type 4 cylinders placed vertically which is more compact and sealed package and providing bottom drain line if required.

The New development of Storage solution with compact style sealed aims to store large quantities of compressed gas as well as transport regardless of road conditions.
EKC MEGC units are used worldwide for Storage and Transportation of CNG, with service pressure of 200 bar and 250 bar.
To overcome the challenges of length and weight limit of jumbo tube trailers, our 20FT with compact style sealed unit is popular in various countries.
Our compact & sealed units are for driving safety as it has half-length of a conventional 40ft tube trailer. Transportation of the products like CNG or Hydrogen in a sealed container avoids unnecessary attraction of public on road.

20FT DESIGN MRU

20 FT MEGC container in which compressed gases can be transported under the pressure of up to 250 bar in order to achieve a maximum quantity of gas.The structure is designed as per CSC container standard ISO 668. The standard dimensions of a high cube container L 6058 mmx W 2438mm x H 2896mm and maximum empty weight of 23.5 ton.The whole system is designed to withstand multidirectional forces as per ADR Regulations.

Regulations

EKC’s MEGC is designed according to European Regulation, 20FT and 40FT units are designed as per ISO 668, Certified with CSC. This classification, dimensions and gross weight rating and its base structures is as per ISO international standard which is classified by international freight shipping container and standardizes their size and weight specification. EKC’s ISO Owner Code start with ‘PKKU’

EKC’s ADR/IMDG certified Multi Element Gas Container units are allowed to be transported by Maritime and by Road with use of regular container platforms/Semi Trailer and twist locks. Also, if required we can offer the non-ADR unit which will technically comply to the standards. Complete unit will be tested by the third party SGS Gulf Limited and certificate shall be provided.

100% IN-HOUSE LOCAL PRODUCTION: Each & every cylinder in manufacturing process undergoes ultrasonic inspection for detection of any possible hidden defects. It also goes through specified testing at every stage of production by internal quality control department as well as by an internationally recognized independent inspection agencies such as SGS, Apragaz, DNV, Bureau Veritas etc.
Each individual cylinder has High Quality CNG valve of European origin having PED and TPRDsafeties. This helps to prevent any possibilities of leakage. It will help in isolating the cylinders in case of any failure observed on any specific cylinder.

BOTTOM DRAIN LINE: The unique feature of our MEGC having vertically placed cylinders with Bottom Drain Line is to facilitate periodical draining of water & compressor oil residue settled at the bottom of cylinders. This helps in keeping storage module in healthy condition and to utilize full capacity of Cylinders for carrying CNG.
In the Horizontal layout of cylinders, it is not possible to drain out residuals completely even when it is provided with dip tubes. Draining of a horizontal Cylinders system is much less efficient process as compared the system with Vertically placed cylinders. While designing MEGC, EKC always considers all types of hazardous scenarios for your safety.
